Midlothian Mines Engagement Session

Today we are sharing Kendall and Zack’s Midlothian Mines engagement session.

We both went to high school at Midlothian, and this was our first time ever going to Midlothian Mines.  We’d seen the parking lot, knew it was a park, but never stopped.  And now we’re talking about when we can go next.

It was the perfect setting for a beautiful fall day.  It was a short loop around a lake, tons of people running or walking their dogs. And lots of other photographers doing their own sessions.

There is a whole other side of this park across the street that we didn’t even go to, so we’ll explore that next time, but this walk around the lake was perfect.

Kendall and Zack are actually getting married in a few weeks, so you’ll see them again soon.

People are always asking us when is the right time to schedule an engagement session, and this a good example of “it’s totally up to you!” Granted, if you’re using this for save the dates, you’ll want to factor in the time that it takes to get those made and sent out in plenty of time for your guests. Otherwise, it’s whatever works best for you. Sometime we have couples want a specific season. Others are coming in from out of town and schedule around other things. It’s totally up to you and want works best for what you are looking for.

We’ve done engagement sessions 1-2 years in advance, and others literally the day before the wedding. We just love the opportunity to spend a little time with you before we share your full wedding day together.

So it was really nice to be able to have this time with Kendall and Zack before their wedding day. Scroll below to see a few of our many favorites from this Midlothian Mines engagement session.

Congratulations you guys!
