Richmond Canal Walk Engagement

We are sharing Zoe and Chase’s engagement session that we shot here in Richmond at the Canal walk.

They met us at the front of Casa Del Barco downtown and were able to walk around from there.  We started in front of some apartment buildings, then walked down towards Brown’s Island to get more beside the water.

I feel like you buried the lead a little, because they brought their great dane, Boss. Typically tell people to bring pets for the last 20 minutes of the session. However Zoe and Chase wanted Boss to be much more of a part of their pictures and just for a little bit at the end. And I loved that he was there for so much – especially because he was SO well behaved.  They brought a friend (and bridesmaid) along to help take care of Boss during the session, and he was so good!

I think the story is that he got Boss the day before he met Zoe – so he’s really been there for this whole relationship. So we had him come in and out of pictures throughout the whole session.

We ended the session back across from Casa Del Barco at the large canal walk murals just as the sun was setting.  We used several of the large murals as backgrounds, but also shot next to the apartments again. We found a row of cactus and those turned out to be some of my favorites.

Enjoy a few of our favorites from this Richmond Canal Walk engagement session.

Congrats you guys!
