Album Ordering

Full disclosure: this is a post to educate our clients.  We use this blog as a journal, a way to share our lives and our business, but we also use it to help our clients through the wedding planning process.. and this is one of those posts.  It’s always our goal to be a resource for our couples and make sure we are there to support them in whatever way we can!  And this post is to help our couples through the process of ordering an album.

So I’ll just start assume you are one of our couples who are thinking of ordering an album.  First of all, you’re are able to purchase an album at any time in our process together.  We recommend ordering an album when you book (so it’s not another thing you have to think about after the wedding), but you can decide to order after the wedding too.

So here it is.. The album ordering process..
Step 1. After your wedding day, I take our favorite images and design an album based around our favorites.  This will serve as a good starting point for your album design.
Step 2. We send over a preview of the album I designed using an online proofing system. This way, you are able to make any notes of edits you’d like. We encourage you to make as many changes as you want. We don’t know who your best friends are to include in the reception dancing images, or which family portraits are most important to you, etc.  You add more images, take some away, ask for images to be moved to a different spot, it’s up to you!

ALBUM BLOGStep 3. I’ll make changes based on the edits you added.  We are here to guide you through the process of creating a beautiful legacy album for you and your family to enjoy for years to come, so we will advise you on what we think is best.
Step 4. I resend the updated album using the same software for you to make one more round of edits.
Step 5. I either make one more round of edits, or you can approve the album.
Step 6. We review your final album choices. And once those are approved, we order.  (You can choose embossing for the front cover and leather type).
Step 7. Albums are typically delivered directly to you from our professional print lab, so a bonus step 8 is to post or send us some pictures of the album so we can see too!

Let us know if you have any questions!  We are here to help!  And don’t forget to check out the video above to see the process in action.
