Shepherds Run Rhode Island Wedding

Today we’re sharing Lindsay and Dan’s magical Shepherds Run Rhode Island wedding day in Narragansett, Rhode Island, just down from Newport. We actually kicked things off the night before with their rehearsal dinner right on the water in Newport. It was such a beautiful evening with fun coastal vibes, and we even got a few portraits of them as the sun set over the boats.

One thing about Lindsay – her style is impeccable. We had so many DMs asking if she was a model, and honestly, basically yes. We photographed her sister Emily’s wedding last year, and their whole family just radiates style and kindness. Her mom and dad were so welcoming and joyful! It felt like being part of their family for the weekend.

An English Countryside Feel at Shepherd’s Run

Their wedding day was held at Shepherd’s Run, a gorgeous bed and breakfast winery in Narragansett that feels straight out of the English countryside. Cobblestone paths, old stone walls, and sprawling flower gardens. A stunning high-pitched reception tent created the perfect New England wedding vibe. The building itself is beautiful with a giant tree out front, and everything felt so fresh, elegant, and timeless.

Lindsay’s bridesmaids reveal was one of my favorites ever. Every single girl turned around and burst into the most genuine, excited reactions – exactly what every bride deserves from her hype team. And her dress? Absolute perfection, with elegant sleeves, a dramatic veil, flawless hair, and makeup that highlighted her natural beauty.

A Dream Wedding Party – Shepherds Run Rhode Island Wedding

Their wedding party was amazing. Lindsay had a big group of girls, and they were so on it all day long. Usually, coordinating that many bridesmaids for portraits or getting ready shots is tricky, but these girls listened to every instruction and were ready before we even asked. It made such a difference in keeping the day smooth and stress-free.

Her dad’s toast during the reception was so touching, it made everyone tear up. And when you add in her first look with her dad, it just showed how close they were… their reactions say it all. And Dan and his groomsmen were just as wonderful. They kept things calm before the ceremony, stayed attentive for photos, and set the tone for an incredible, laid-back yet joyful day.

Sunset Portraits and a Reception to Remember

Cocktail hour was stunning, held in the garden space with views of the winery and surrounded by lush summer blooms. Lindsay and Dan joined almost the entire cocktail hour, which we always love to see – your wedding day goes by so fast, and enjoying every part is so worth it.

Before the reception, they did a reception reveal to see the gorgeous tent setup before guests came in. Then they kicked things off with a fun second line band parade to lead everyone into the party. Dan changed into a new suit jacket, and Lindsay removed her sleeves for a chic second look. The toasts, first dances, and the band were all fantastic.

Just before sunset, we pulled them away for five (okay, six) quick minutes of portraits at the back of Shepherd’s Run for a slightly different vibe. The light was overcast, and even a little foggy, but it was perfect! An ideal end to an already flawless wedding day. After that, they danced the night away, surrounded by the people who love them most.
