Grandview Beach Engagement Session

Today we are sharing Miranda and Brett’s Grandview Beach Engagement session.

It was one of the windiest days we’ve photographed. And at one of the most beautiful locations we’ve been.  We used to live in Hampton Roads, so we’ve done lots of sessions in this neck of the woods. We’ve photographed at Yorktown Beach, Fort Monroe, Buckroe Beach, etc.

Grandview was really unassuming.  You sort of park in a neighborhood, then walk down a beautiful path through the marsh. And opened up to this beautiful, sort of private beach. It was such a fun place to shoot.

So whenever we shoot somewhere new, we usually get there pretty early.  So we go there super early, scoped out some locations, then just sat and enjoyed the beach. It was lovely.

Then when Miranda and Brett got there, I think the wind picked up times 100.  It was crazy.

I think Miranda was a little worried about getting her pictures taken anyways.. Like pretty much everyone.  There are some nerves. But she handled it so well.  She looked stunning. Her dress was like the exact color of her eyes.  And they were so sweet together.  Which is all we ever want.  Is to be able to photograph some natural reactions and interactions between our couples.

They also bought champagne which I always think is fun.  They kicked around in the water.  And sort of just embraced the craziness.

Which is what it’s supposed to be. Your engagement session is supposed to just be fun.  We just want you to get comfortable in front of our cameras and get to know you a little better so the wedding day can go even more smoothly.
