Libbie & Grove Richmond Engagement

Today we are sharing Katie and Jacob’s Libbie & Grove Richmond engagement session that we shot here in at the shops at Libbie and Grove, then finished at Libby Hill park

We were originally supposed to start their session at Tredegar near Belle Isle, however this was the weekend of River Rock. If you saw our last blog post you know that our wedding took place on the same day as River rock as well. It’s a multiple day event.

Libbie & Grove Richmond Engagement

So we decided to start instead Libbie and Grove. They were originally going to bring their dog Folly. Who adorably is named after Folly beach where they actually got engaged. In this area is right near where they live so it was going to be convenient to bring him. However it ended up being almost 100° so Folly did not make it.

But it still ended up being a great location because they grabbed a drink before hand at Continental and after we walked around the streets and shot for a bit they went home to change before going to our next location.

Libbie and Grove is a really fun location for engagements.  It’s a bit “on show” because it is a really popular area, but it’s a nice fun and different spot.

Libby Hill Park

The second part of their session was a Libby Hill park for sunset.  It’s a wonderful spot for a beautiful overlook of the city.  It’s beautiful at sunset.  We actually love the overlook of the James River.

These two are getting married in the fall at Big Spring Farm – and we are super excited about that.  So enjoy a few of our favorites from their Libbie & Grove Richmond engagement session below, and then come back to see them again in October.

Congrats you guys!
