Fleetwood Farm Winery DC Wedding

Today we are sharing Kim and Michael’s Fleetwood Farm Winery DC Wedding, in Leesburg Virginia wedding.

Fleetwood Farm Winery is a beautiful wedding venue. It is very close to a major city so unlike many wineries are you have to drive hours into the middle of nowhere it is easy to access. It is also a beautiful property with a gorgeous newly renovated reception space with beautiful getting ready spaces and large windows.

Which is a wonderful because we thought for this wedding we would have to take the majority of their pictures indoors. It was supposed to thunderstorm all day but thankfully the rain held off and we didn’t have to change any of our plans.

We were so honored to be there the entire day. The whole day just brought memories of their engagement session, and how amazing that was! Kim and Michael are two of the most wonderful people and love each other and those around them so well.

Michael at the ceremony had just the sweetest reaction. He was brought to tears even before he turned the corner to walk down the aisle. He was just so emotional and it was beautiful to see.

They also worked with Farm and Fields who are some of our favorite wedding coordinators/florists.  They do such incredible work and the florals on this wedding day were absolutely spectacular.

So here’s a few things you should steal from this wedding..

1 Their unity ceremony – Fleetwood Farm Winery DC Wedding

They poured from two different bottles of wine into one class for their unity ceremony and it was really perfect because obviously I was at a winery. But it was also very special because that is the same ceremony that Michael’s grandparents day at their wedding. So it was also nice legacy moment.

2 Splurge on your caterer

They used Heirloom catering and they were absolutely amazing. Their guests are definitely going to be talking about that for a while.  They had the most insane presentation of their food – especially at cocktail hour.  They had mini tacos sitting on a lime and biscuits sitting on a chair. After their main dinner service they had mini ice cream cones and late night snacks of mini sliders with french fries.

3 Having a guestbook – Fleetwood Farm Winery DC Wedding

They used their engagement images to create a guestbook for their wedding guests to sign.  People were actually signing it throughout the entire reception. Typically, you have to really push people to sign a guestbook, but so many people actually did this. I also love this because it’s something you’ll actually want to sit out – it won’t just end up in a box in your basement (like ours – OPS).

Enjoy some of our many favorites from Kim & Michael’s Fleetwood Farm Winery DC Wedding! Congrats you guys!
