Early Mountain Vineyard Wedding

Hey friends, today we are sharing Jess and Todd and their Early Mountain Vineyard wedding day that we shot this past weekend.

I absolutely adore this waiting for so many reasons. One, Jess and Todd are just the sweetest people. I feel like every time our couples are referrals from past couples we have the best wedding days. We photographed Jess’ cousin, Ashton and Clay’s wedding last year here in Richmond at CCV

So when we got an inquiry from Jess I was so excited. And I was right to be.. they are fantastic, as are their family and friends. It made for such a fun celebration to be a part of.

Early Mountain Vineyard Wedding Venue

We have actually never shot at Early Mountain Vineyards before. So this was a new wedding venue for us which we love. It is absolutely beautiful. And it helped the weather was so perfect.

Their ceremony was so beautiful. The arbor they had was stunning. They’re florist, The Posey Detail, did a fantastic job with every single floral arrangement. It was also stunning.

Also the team at Early Mountain did an amazing job with the reception space. It was absolutely gorgeous. Sara who was the day of coordinator there was so lovely to work with and was incredibly on top of things. Their reception details are some of my absolute favorites to date.

So on everyone of these wedding club posts we choose three things where if you are a bride planning your wedding we recommend you stealing these three ideas from this couple.

STEAL THESE IDEAS: Early Mountain Vineyard Wedding

Hire a watercolor artist for your invitation suite

We weren’t able to take their full invitation sweet but they did have the watercolors that they used on so much of their paper products throughout the day. So we were able to photograph that and it was absolutely beautiful. They had a custom watercolor done of early mountain vineyard. I just think it was such a fun thing to tie together all of their paper products but also an amazing thing that they will be able to hang in their home for the rest of their lives.

2. Welcome guests with champagne

Before the ceremony started they serve champagne to all of the guests. So rather than all of your guests having to just sit awkwardly at the ceremony space, they were able to mingle and chat with a glass of champagne to really set the mood of the day. Especially because this was more of an out-of-town wedding where guests are going to typically arrive for the ceremony a little bit earlier than normal, it was nice that they were able to provide something fun for the guests to do rather than just sit around and wait.

3. Surprise your groom with a groom’s cake

Jess surprise Todd with the most epic groom’s cake. Just before their Ketubah signing (it was a Jewish ceremony) they came into the reception room to gawk at how beautiful everything was. Which I always think it’s a good idea to do. Go into your reception space before all if your guests are in there to really enjoy how beautiful it is. First of all their cake was absolutely incredible it was so beautiful. But it was really fun that just had another cake made for Todd that was a giant golf ball (something Todd absolutely loves).

Go take a look at that.. and so many more of our favorite throughout this beautiful wedding day.
