As we drove up to the Long Branch Plantation home on Saturday night for the rehearsal, Michael and I were already shaking with excitement. This was one of the most beautiful properties we’ve shot at. And we thought that before Rachel took us up to the roof of the venue for the most picturesque scenery Winchester has to offer.. rolling hills, horse farms, ponds.. it was just breath taking. But the tears really started to roll as Rachel unzipped her garment bag to show me her wedding dress. She isn’t the type to get all dolled up and to see this all lace, low back, long train gown that she would walk down the aisle in to marry the love of her life.. I just lost it. Rachel is just one of the friends who will do anything for you.. always there for you when you need her, no questions asked. And we were so excited to be there for her for once on this absolutely perfect day. I cried about 10 more times in the next 24 hours.. When she handed me a letter thanking me for being her bridesmaid, when she was getting her makeup done and looked absolutely radiant, when her mom zipped up her gown and hugged her tight.. when I was shooting their first look and John turned around and kissed her like a sailor who had just come back from war to marry the love of his life.. it was seriously a perfect day, and we were so honored to be there. We love y’all!
HUGE thank you to Jessica for helping us out as I played part photographer/part bridesmaid..
