We don’t photograph many family sessions, but when we heard our AMAZING friend Kelsey from The Historic Post Office, was planning a family session as a gift for her mother, we couldn’t help but throw our hat in. We have known Kelsey and Matthew since we first met them as models at a styled shoot two years ago, and we still use those images in our branding to this day, because they are one stunning couple.

We are also so excited for The Historic Post Office, a new venue in downtown Hampton, that we have already used for headshots meeting with other photographers in the area, and are so glad to see it flourish with Kelsey leading it. We really hope we book a client that chooses it as their venue, we are dying to shoot there.

But, for our family session with the Ranger family, we got to visit another stunning location across the York River into the Gloucester area, called the Little England Farm that sits right on the water’s edge. We had never been there before, and ended up deciding to photograph them in a horse pasture (of course, the horses were in a nearby barn, so we didn’t get a chance to get all six of them on horseback). When they arrived, we got to meet Kelsey’s parents and her two sisters before jumping in to some adorable family photos of them all, with the shade of some giant trees, with the sun behind them giving them that golden hour glow. In our short time we got to be a part of such a wonderful family. We knew Kelsey and Matthew were already amazing models, but it turns out that’s in their blood, because their entire family were just amazing!
