Kelly Moore Bag #2

A couple years ago we bought our first Kelly Moore bag.  And oh boy, has it served us well.  We wanted a HUGE bag that we could stuff everything in and take on our travels to Kenya, and that’s exactly what the Jude bag is.  Huge.  Which means extremely heavy.  Which means Michael is the one who is going to have the pleasure of carrying it around on a wedding day.

But I really need a bag on the wedding day too.  I’ll switch out my lens at least once, maybe add or take off a flash, I need a spot for my phone, the day of timeline, extra bobby pins, a water bottle, etc., and all while Michael is elsewhere.  I needed a light bag that I could have on all day and still be comfortable with.  I wanted something stylish, easy, and smaller.  But also something Michael could carry if we needed him too and not look like he was carrying my purse.  So many of the Kelly Moore bags are adorable and could easily be used as a purse one day, then a camera bag the next.  (They all have a removable, padded basket for your camera and lens, and tons of pockets to easily be able to find everything you’re looking for.)

So we settled on the Kelly Boy in caramel.  And I am obsessed!  It’s the perfect size, it’s super comfortable, and I can wear it all day with no problems. AND it’s the “Kelly Boy” bag, so it’s actually made for a boy, which means Michael can use it anytime he wants.  We are also not gentle with our bags and our first Kelly Moore and this one, have held up great!

During a shoot, I keep the flap tucked back for the most part (it lays flat open), so I can easily grab anything from inside without having to fumble around with my camera. And the two huge front pockets are perfect for staying organized.  Seriously, this thing has pockets galore.  Two envelope pockets, on the big zipper pockets on front, then a zipper pocket on top of those.  Two side pockets and a back envelope pocket.  A small zipper inside AND the padded basket.  That’s like 11 different compartments in this one little bag!

  4. Mahlia says:

The first camera bag I bought was a Kelly Moore! 🙂

  5. I love the look of this bag! I bought the brownlee and the hook came undone from the strap and unfortunately I did have a lens in the bag. So I’m just super careful of not packing it full of stuff because I’m so scared it will happen again. Even with the replacement strap.

OH NO! I’m so sorry that happened to you! I only ever keep an extra lens or two, and my flash in mine. I make Michael lug around all the heavy stuff 🙂
